Advanced - Refresher
At Gabor's School of Motoring, I offer tailored courses to help you enhance your skills and pass your driving test with confidence. With my experience, I provide personalised guidance on manoeuvres, hazard perception, and independent driving.
I also offer refresher lessons for full licence holders who haven’t driven recently or for those new to UK roads, focusing on building confidence, updating road rules, and promoting safe driving practices. Whether you’re preparing for your test or returning to driving, I support you every step of the way. Contact me for a personalised plan.
Driving Test Preparation
For experienced drivers from other countries or those needing final prep, I offer tailored lessons to build your confidence and help you master UK road rules.
As a professional instructor, I focus on UK test requirements—manoeuvres, hazard perception, and safe driving in all conditions.

Prices & Payments
Manual driving lessons:
£37/Hr - A standard driving lesson is 2hrs long (£74)
If you find a 2-hour lesson too lengthy or your daily schedule does not permit it, I can offer a 1.5-hour lesson at £55.50. This option provides flexibility while ensuring you receive quality instruction tailored to your needs.
Please be advised that two-hour lessons have consistently proven to be the most efficient and offer the best value for your money. This duration allows ample time to cover a comprehensive range of skills and ensures you make the most progress during each session.
Car Hire For Driving Test:
£100 - While it is possible to use your own car for the driving test (subject to DVSA conditions), it is generally recommended to take the test in your instructor’s vehicle, which is fitted with dual controls for added safety and reassurance.
If you prefer to use my lovely red little car for your test, please note that there is an additional charge, which is slightly higher than the regular hourly rate.
Payment:
You may pay by cash or bank transfer, whichever is most convenient for you.
At Gabor's School of Motoring, I believe in keeping things straightforward and friendly. I do not require prepayments or bulk payments.
Payments are simply due on the day of the lesson or test—if paying by transfer, please ensure it is made on the same day; if paying in cash, payment is made at the lesson itself. This approach makes the process clear and convenient for everyone.

About me
Hello, I’m Gabor - A fully qualified, Garde “A” DVSA-approved driving instructor dedicated to helping learners achieve their driving goals. While I enjoy the technical aspects of teaching, I believe that building a personal connection with each learner is just as important.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students from five continents, supporting people of all confidence levels in gaining this essential life skill.
Originally from Hungary, I’ve been living in London since 2013, where I retrained as a driving instructor following a successful career as a professional basketball player and coach. That background has given me a calm, focused, and motivational approach to teaching - qualities that many of my students have appreciated on their journey to passing. My Google ratings are a testament to my dedication and coaching approach.
Since 2019, I’ve helped hundreds of learners successfully earn their driving licences - most passing on their first or second attempt. I take great pride in preparing each student thoroughly and only recommending them for their test when they’re truly ready.
This commitment to quality doesn’t go unnoticed. At my local test centre, examiners consistently appreciate the high standard of my learners and are always glad to see them arrive, knowing they’re well-prepared and competent drivers.
